Requirements
A large housing development project in the south of England required its own sewage treatment plant and sewage works system. Because sewage treatment plants need a reliable water supply to operate effectively, the site required a dependable boosting solution with consistent pressure and flow.
The client requested an all-in-one tank and three pump booster set that could provide reliable water boosting while also reducing installation complexity. In addition, the unit needed to include CAT 5 AB air gap protection to prevent backflow and protect the mains water supply from cross-contamination.
The solution also had to be durable enough for outdoor installation. Therefore, the system needed protection against weather conditions and long-term environmental exposure.
The Solution
We supplied a complete integrated tank and booster system using WRAS-approved components throughout. The package included a WRAS-approved tank together with a three pump booster set using high-performance DP pumps.
The system was designed to provide continuous water flow and stable pressure across the site. Furthermore, the integrated design helped simplify installation and reduce the amount of onsite assembly work required.
The tank was designed for external installation and included CAT 5 AB air gap protection to meet all relevant water regulations. The three pump booster set operates at up to 5.5 bar and can deliver flows of up to 315 litres per minute when all pumps are running.

The result
The completed project delivered a reliable and efficient water boosting solution for the housing development’s sewage treatment operations. The integrated tank and three pump booster set now provides stable pressure and continuous flow across the site. In addition, the system meets all relevant CAT 5 and WRAS water regulations. Overall, the solution achieved the client’s requirements for reliability, durability and long-term performance while simplifying installation and ongoing operation.
