Requirements
A new housing development in the UK needed a reliable water supply system. The site was located in an area where connecting to the nearest municipal water supply was uneconomical.
As a result, the development used a borehole pump and water treatment system to provide clean drinking water. However, the site also needed a suitable storage and boosting solution to maintain pressure and flow during peak demand.
The client required a combination unit that could support the wider water supply system and provide dependable performance for residents.
The Solution
After a consultation with our Technical Sales Manager Kevin Davey, we were able to provide a solution. POWERBOOST combination unit comprising of a 2250L WRAS-approved tank, and a twin Flow V booster set, which includes two high-performance 5CR pumps. The Flow V set is engineered to maintain optimal water pressure and flow regardless of fluctuations in demand.
Designed for large-scale applications and outdoor installation, this Powerboost Combination Unit features water storage and pressure boosting capabilities, while ensuring protection against weather conditions such as frost and rain at the same time.
In addition to the Powerboost unit, each of the residential properties in the development were equipped with a smaller, residential POWERTANK system.
Powertanks are the perfect solution for households. They are quiet, come in a wide variety of sizes and shapes, and will address the individual water boosting needs of each of the properties in this housing development.
