Requirements
Our Technical sales engineer Pete Hagan was recently contacted by a brewery located in Yorkshire. They had a breakdown and urgently needed replacement of two vertical multistage pumps that suddenly stopped working. Their current manufacturer had no UK stock, so they had to look for other options. They were pumping a mixture of water, caustic soda, and sodium hypochlorite at a temperature of at least 50°C.
As an exclusive DP agent for the UK market, we keep stock of a wide variety of their vertical multistage pumps and are able to dispatch them for the next working day delivery to any part of the country.
The Solution
Pete was able to quote two multistage DP pumps that were identical in dimension, duty, and motor KW size, so no need for any modification. We also changed the standard mechanical seals for a more robust Tungsten/Tungsten/NBR mechanical seal.

The result
The pumps were soon collected from us in Lichfield and the brewery was back up and running within a few hours of the initial enquiry.
