Reverse Osmosis System Requirements
A palm oil refinery in the North required a reverse osmosis system to improve water quality within its washing process. Our Water Treatment Manager, Jason Humphries, was contacted to help specify a reliable solution capable of producing water with a high level of purification. The refinery is part of a company recognised as a leading producer of certified sustainable palm oil, with plantations grown ethically in Papua New Guinea. As part of its wider commitment to environmental responsibility, the business wanted to reduce the impact of its washing process and improve the quality of water used on site.
Wastewater from industrial washing can contribute to pollution if not managed correctly. For this reason, the refinery needed a robust water treatment system that could support cleaner operation, reduce contaminants, and help minimise environmental impact.
The company needed water produced by a reverse osmosis system to:
Water Treatment for Palm Oil Refining
● Feed their boilers
● Wash the raw palm oil
The Solution
After a detailed consultation and a water quality test of the feed water, the following products were selected as most suitable to produce the water purity required by the refinery.
Equipment Supplied:
● Carbon Filter
● Pumps for the treated water
● Ecosoft МО-12 industrial reverse osmosis system

The result
Purified water that supports a sustainable palm oil production process.
