Properties with inadequate mains water supply often need to get water from other systems, such as wells or boreholes. In a domestic situation, making sure you have the proper water treatment solution for well water is a necessity. The water supply for the large domestic property was from a borehole – the problem was that the water had high levels of Iron, Manganese and Turbidity, making it unsafe to use as drinking water and not at all ideal for a domestic situation – water of this quality, aside from being undrinkable, can cause damage and unnecessary wear to household appliances.
The Solution
The customer required a substantial system to make sure the water was up to UK water standards, so we supplied the following filters as part of the domestic water treatment solution.
Equipment Supplied:
● Turbidex
● Pyrolox
● Ecomix
The Turbidex and Pyrolox would remove the Iron and Manganese, while the Ecomix would further help remove Iron and Manganese from the resulting water. The Ecomix filter also provides water softening, and was the best choice for the household water treatment.
The result
The result was soft, filtered water, free from Iron and Manganese, which fully complied with UK water quality standards.
