Requirements
The Caravan Parks sewage pumps were tripping out during peak times due to excess ragging blocking the pumps. Our customer who was responsible for onsite maintenance of the station was having to visit the site every 2 or 3 weeks during periods of high occupancy to unblock and clear the pumps to get the pumping station up and running again. This was causing major problems for the site, for our client it was a major headache, and the costs to keep the station operational were getting out of hand.
The Solution
After discussing the site issues with our client and looking at all past attempts to resolve the issue which had involved our new client installing a number of different types and brands of pumps, we proposed the use of the newly released Pedrollo TRITUS Grinder pumps for the pump station. Initially we suggested changing over only one of the pumps so we could test and prove the TRITUS against the already installed pump. Our client noticed an immediate improvement and throughout the following weeks and months, the call outs reduced dramatically. Within 2 months our customer had changed over all of the remaining pumps to the Pedrollo TRITUS.
