When our client’s sewage pump equipment failed, they were recommended an expensive and inconvenient solution by the manufacturer. Pedrollo Distribution were able to save the day with bespoke manufactured parts to fit new sewage pumps onto the customer’s existing set-up quickly and without causing interruption.
Requirements
Two 3” sewage pumps on a guide rail system had failed and were unrepairable. The models had been discontinued and therefore no longer available, and the manufacturer had suggested alternative pumps as replacements. However, they were not compatible with the existing pedestals and guides. They recommended replacing the existing pedestals to accommodate the new pumps, which is a very expensive and inconvenient option for the customer. As these pumps were critical components of the development, time was of the essence in finding a solution.
The Solution
We supplied 2 x VXCm20/70F sewage pumps from stock complete with adaptors which were bespoke manufactured in just a few days to fit the existing guide rail system, so that the customer did not have to purchase and install any new pedestals.

The result
We provided a quick change over of the pumps onsite without the need to fit a new and expensive auto coupling system. This prevented long delays and high tankering costs, meaning our client experienced no unnecessary downtime, and a lighter wallet!
